Job Description: Our client is seeking a Mixed Animal Veterinarian to join a well-established veterinary hospital. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys a varied caseload, supportive teamwork, strong clinical mentorship, and the chance to work across both companion animals and large animals in a welcoming country community.
The role offers approximately 70% small animal and 30% large animal work, supported by three experienced vets and a friendly nursing team. With modern diagnostic equipment, excellent X-ray and ultrasound machines, structured rostering, and a social team culture, this position provides an excellent setting for a vet looking to develop clinical interests while maintaining a positive work-life balance.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing mixed animal consultations, diagnostics, treatment planning, and preventative care
- Providing companion animal medicine, routine procedures, and general practice support
- Supporting large animal cases across the local community where required
- Working collaboratively with experienced vets and nurses across a varied caseload
- Building trusted client relationships through clear communication and high-quality care
Package:
- Full-time veterinarian role available, with part-time considered
- Typical Monday to Friday roster from 8:30am to 5:30pm
- One in three weekends with a weekday RDO every three weeks
- One to two shared on-call nights per week
