Mixed Animal Veterinarian Job, Te Awamutu, Waikato, New Zealand

Job Description: Our client is seeking a graduate or recently qualified veterinarian to join a permanent, full-time mixed animal position. Working across companion and production animal cases, the successful candidate will receive consistent guidance from experienced veterinarians while developing confidence in consultations, treatment planning and practical procedures.

This opportunity offers broad clinical exposure within well-equipped facilities, allowing an enthusiastic veterinarian to strengthen their medical and surgical capabilities at an appropriate pace. It would suit a compassionate, resilient and curious individual who enjoys building trusted relationships with farmers and pet owners while exploring their longer-term clinical interests.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science or an equivalent qualification recognised in New Zealand
  • Eligibility to register with the Veterinary Council of New Zealand and obtain an Annual Practising Certificate
  • A clear interest in working with both companion and production animals
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a cooperative and professional approach
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning and gradual clinical progression
