 Job Description: Our client is seeking a Mixed Animal Veterinarian to join a regional veterinary clinic located in Bridgetown in Western Australia’s Southern Forests region. This role offers a balanced and flexible caseload including companion animal medicine and surgery along with livestock and rural veterinary work.

Veterinarians in this clinic manage a broad range of cases including preventative care, routine surgical procedures, herd health services, and emergency presentations. The role provides excellent clinical exposure for veterinarians who enjoy variety in their work and want to build strong relationships with both pet owners and agricultural clients.

The clinic operates with modern diagnostic technology and a collaborative team of veterinary professionals dedicated to delivering practical and compassionate care in a rural setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical consultations and preventative care for companion animals  
  • Perform routine small animal surgeries and diagnostic procedures  
  • Conduct farm visits to assess livestock health and provide treatment  
  • Assist rural clients with herd health planning and preventative medicine  
  • Respond to urgent and emergency veterinary cases  
  • Collaborate with veterinary nurses and colleagues to deliver patient care  
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and treatment documentation  

Qualifications Needed:

  • Veterinary degree such as BVSc, BVMS, or DVM  
  • Eligibility for veterinary registration in Western Australia  
  • Interest in mixed practice including companion and production animals  
  • Ability to work independently in both clinic and field environments  
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
