Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Mixed Animal Locum Veterinarian to provide temporary clinical support from August 2026, with flexibility around commencement dates and overall availability. The position combines farm visits, consultations, diagnostic investigations, and surgical work, providing genuine variety across both large and small animal medicine. A veterinarian with at least two years of large animal experience and confidence working independently in the field would be particularly well suited to this opportunity.
The successful veterinarian will work alongside experienced colleagues while developing trusted relationships with farming clients and providing practical advice tailored to their animals and operations. Shared after-hours duties form part of the position, with separate large and small animal rosters in place. There may also be scope for a veterinarian interested in longer-term opportunities once the locum placement has been completed.
Package:
- Flexible locum commencement available from August 2026
- Availability can be tailored around suitable placement dates
- Competitive locum rates negotiated according to experience

- Well-equipped facilities supporting a broad mixed animal caseload
- Potential to explore a permanent position following the locum assignment
