Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Mixed Animal Veterinarian to join a collaborative South Canterbury team. The role offers a genuinely varied caseload across companion animals, dairy cattle, sheep, beef cattle and deer, providing an excellent balance of clinic-based and production animal work.
The successful candidate will manage consultations, medical investigations and routine surgeries while working closely with neighbouring veterinary and technician teams. More complex medical, orthopaedic and surgical cases can be referred when appropriate, allowing the veterinarian to deliver practical, high-quality care across a broad range of species.
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Eligibility for veterinary registration in New Zealand
- At least two years of mixed or general veterinary experience
- Confidence managing companion animal and production animal cases
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative working approach
