Job Description: Our client is seeking a Mixed Animal Associate Veterinarian to join a well-established clinic in Cromwell, offering a balanced caseload with a strong focus on companion animals alongside a portion of large animal work. This role provides variety and the opportunity to engage with both clinical and field-based cases within a supportive team environment.

The position is well-suited to a veterinarian who enjoys diversity in their day-to-day work, combining small animal consultations and surgery with farm visits and herd health involvement. You will be part of a collaborative team that values professional growth, practical experience, and delivering high standards of care across all species.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing companion animal consultations, diagnostics, and treatment plans  
  • Providing support for farm animal work including routine visits and herd health  
  • Performing surgical procedures across a mixed caseload  
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure continuity of care  
  • Building strong client relationships across both companion and farming communities  

Qualifications Needed:

  • A veterinary degree eligible for registration in New Zealand  
  • Confidence or interest in both small and large animal practice  
  • Strong communication skills across a diverse client base  
  • Ability to manage cases independently when required  
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and skill development
