Job Description: Our client is seeking a dedicated Mixed Animal Veterinarian to join a well-established rural practice on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers a varied caseload across both companion animals and farm clients, providing an engaging mix of clinic and field-based work within a supportive and close-knit team.

The position is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys diversity in their day-to-day work and values strong relationships with both clients and colleagues. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills across multiple areas of practice while contributing to a positive team culture and maintaining high standards of care.

This clinic is a short drive from Christchurch.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing consultations and treatment for companion animals in clinic
  • Supporting farm clients with herd health and livestock care
  • Performing routine surgeries and assisting with on-farm procedures
  • Managing a varied caseload across both small and large animals
  • Working collaboratively with the team to maintain efficient operations

Qualifications Needed:

  • Eligible for veterinary registration in New Zealand
  • Experience or strong interest in mixed animal practice
  • Confidence in both clinical and field-based environments
  • Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
