Job Description: Our client is seeking a Medical Director Veterinarian to lead their well-established AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Lakewood, Colorado. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to combine clinical practice with leadership, shaping the medical direction and standards of the hospital.

The practice is equipped with modern technology including digital radiography, in-house laboratory diagnostics, and surgical facilities. You will be supported by a collaborative team and a strong corporate infrastructure covering operations, HR, and business support, allowing you to focus on both patient care and team leadership.

This role is ideal for a veterinarian looking to step into a leadership position while continuing hands-on clinical work in a supportive and progressive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Leading and developing the veterinary team while maintaining high clinical standards
• Providing high-quality medical and surgical care to small animal patients
• Overseeing clinical protocols, patient care standards, and medical quality
• Mentoring and supporting associate veterinarians and clinical staff
• Collaborating with hospital leadership to drive performance and growth

Qualifications Needed:
• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree
• Eligible for veterinary licensure in Colorado
• Previous clinical experience with leadership interest or experience
• Strong surgical and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
