Job Description: Our client is seeking a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Small Animal Internist to join a well-established specialty and emergency setting with access to a broad range of referral disciplines. The role is suited to a clinician who enjoys managing medically complex cases, collaborating closely with emergency and specialty colleagues and building strong relationships with referring veterinarians and pet owners.
The successful internist will work alongside specialists in surgery, cardiology, ophthalmology and dermatology, supported by experienced technicians and a highly equipped facility. Available resources include digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory diagnostics, canine and feline endoscopy, oxygen cages and a dedicated emergency surgical suite, allowing for thorough investigation and management of challenging internal medicine cases.
Qualifications Needed:
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary institution
- Completion of a one-year rotational internship in small animal medicine, surgery and emergency care
- Completion of an AVMA-approved three-year internal medicine residency
- Board certification preferred, with residency-trained candidates also considered
- Current state veterinary licence with ability to obtain and maintain DEA registration
