Job Description: Our client is seeking a Large Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established mixed animal practice serving a diverse and loyal farm client base across County Down. The role provides exposure to dairy, beef, and sheep herd health work, including fertility management, disease investigation, reproductive services, and preventative health planning. In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing veterinary care to dairy, beef, and sheep farming clients
- Managing fertility work including scanning and reproductive health services
- Developing herd and flock health plans and preventative care strategies
- Investigating and managing production animal disease cases
- Building strong relationships with farming clients and the local community
Qualifications Needed:
- Veterinary degree eligible for registration in the United Kingdom
- Previous large animal practice experience beyond graduation
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Interest in production animal medicine and herd health
- Collaborative and proactive approach to veterinary care
