Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Dairy Veterinarian to provide strategic clinical guidance and practical production support to progressive dairy farming clients. This role moves beyond routine seasonal work, offering the opportunity to develop trusted advisory relationships and deliver programmes that strengthen herd health, productivity, and long-term farm performance.
The successful veterinarian will help guide clinical services, mentor developing colleagues, and contribute ideas that shape the future direction of the practice. Individual interests in reproduction, youngstock management, nutrition, mastitis control, consultancy, herd health, or service development can be incorporated into the position.
Qualifications Needed:
- Veterinary degree eligible for registration in New Zealand
- At least five years of production animal veterinary experience
- Strong knowledge of dairy farming systems and herd performance
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship skills
- Motivation to mentor colleagues and continue developing professionally
