Job Description: Our client is seeking a full-time Farm Animal Veterinarian with strong dairy interest and at least 3 years of clinical experience. This role is ideal for a vet who enjoys practical on-farm work, building trusted producer relationships, and contributing to preventative herd health outcomes.

The caseload is predominantly dairy, with additional beef work and a smaller mix of small ruminant, equine, and occasional companion animal duties. This opportunity offers a varied rural workload, excellent equipment, and the chance to join a growing team in a scenic farming region with beaches, rainforest, and regional services close by.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing dairy cattle cases on-farm across clinical and preventative work
  • Supporting herd health planning and proactive production animal programs
  • Building strong working relationships with farmers and long-standing clients
  • Contributing to fertility, lameness, mastitis, and seasonal calving work
  • Assisting with varied rural caseload needs across cattle and occasional mixed species cases

Qualifications Needed:

  • Veterinary qualification recognised in Australia
  • Minimum 3 years of veterinary experience preferred
  • Strong interest or background in dairy cattle medicine
  • Confident working independently on-farm and as part of a team
  • Practical, relationship-focused approach to rural veterinary care

Package:

  • Fully stocked work vehicle provided
  • Work phone and laptop included
  • Competitive salary package negotiable by experience
  • Paid study leave provided
  • 4 weeks’ annual leave included
  • Well-equipped clinic with lameness tipper crushes and teat-sealing trailer
  • Bull fertility testing equipment and BCF ultrasound units available
  • In-house Parasight and Mastatest equipment provided
  • Seasonal on-call roster shared across the veterinary team
  • Support from experienced admin staff, technicians, locum vets, and branch colleagues
