Job Description: Our client is seeking a motivated Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join a progressive ambulatory and referral-focused service supporting a diverse equine population. This role offers exposure to both first-opinion and referral-level work, with access to advanced diagnostic capabilities that support thorough case workups and informed clinical decision-making.

The position is well suited to a veterinarian who values collaboration and continuity of care while building strong relationships with local clients and referring practices. Clinical interests are encouraged, and the role provides scope to develop confidence across diagnostics, imaging, and surgical support within a structured yet flexible working environment.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a varied ambulatory caseload across leisure and competition horses  
  • Contributing to diagnostic investigations and ongoing case management  
  • Participating in an out-of-hours rota while maintaining high clinical standards  
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to support referrals and continuity of care  

Qualifications Needed:

  • RCVS registration or eligibility to register in the UK  
  • Previous equine practice experience or strong ambulatory exposure preferred  
  • Confidence working independently while contributing to a team setting  
  • A proactive approach to clinical development and client communication
