Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Equine Veterinarian to join a leading equine hospital within the Victorian Equine Group. This role offers the opportunity to work in a high-level clinical environment providing first opinion, referral, and emergency care, supported by a team of specialists in surgery and reproduction.
This position is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys a varied and dynamic caseload, combining hospital-based and ambulatory work. You will manage a wide range of equine cases while benefiting from strong specialist support, enabling you to further develop your clinical skills in a collaborative and fast-paced setting.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing hospital-based equine cases including referrals and intensive care
- Performing advanced diagnostics and investigations
- Providing ambulatory services including routine and emergency care
- Participating in a shared after-hours rota
- Collaborating with specialist veterinarians and support staff
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent (registrable in Victoria)
- Experience in equine practice required
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Interest in reproductive or sports medicine is advantageous
