Job Description: Our client is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Dentist to take a leading role in establishing a new specialist dentistry service within a well-established emergency and multidisciplinary referral setting. With the department scheduled to launch in 2027, this opportunity is ideally suited to an ambitious specialist who enjoys combining advanced clinical dentistry with the development of new services. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape clinical protocols, build a specialist referral caseload and contribute to the introduction of comprehensive dental and oral healthcare services within a modern veterinary environment.
The position offers the chance to work alongside experienced specialists in surgery, internal medicine, emergency and critical care, cardiology, anesthesiology and diagnostic imaging. Qualifications Needed:
- Diplomate status with the American Veterinary Dental College or completion of a recognised veterinary dentistry residency with eligibility for board certification by 2027.
- Recognised veterinary qualifications and eligibility to obtain the appropriate professional licence to practise in Massachusetts.
- Advanced clinical knowledge of veterinary dentistry, oral disease management and specialist dental procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with referring veterinarians, clients and clinical colleagues.
- A genuine interest in developing a new specialist department, supporting clinical education and maintaining exceptional patient care standards.
