Job Description: Our client is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Criticalist to join a highly equipped multidisciplinary referral hospital. The role offers the opportunity to manage complex emergency and critical care cases while working alongside specialists in surgery, internal medicine, oncology, radiology, and emergency medicine. The facility includes advanced MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, ultrasound, minimally invasive surgical equipment, multiple operating suites, and comprehensive in-house laboratory capabilities.
Qualifications Needed:
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification or completion of an approved critical care residency
- Current California veterinary licence in good standing, or eligibility to obtain one
- Commitment to maintaining exceptional clinical and ethical standards
- Strong communication, teaching, and collaborative working abilities
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Assess and stabilise patients presenting with life-threatening illness or injury
- Develop detailed diagnostic and therapeutic plans for complex critical cases
- Collaborate with specialists and emergency clinicians on coordinated patient care
- Support interns and colleagues through case discussions and clinical teaching
- Build trusted relationships with clients through clear and compassionate communication
