A distinctive feature of this opportunity is the ability to help design and equip a dedicated intensive care unit, including selecting preferred monitoring equipment, essential clinical resources and establishing efficient departmental workflows. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced emergency veterinarians, registered veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants while benefiting from advanced diagnostic facilities, including onsite CT and endoscopy. Qualifications Needed:
- Diplomate status or equivalent specialist credentials in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care, with practice-limited criticalists also considered.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine qualification or equivalent with eligibility to obtain a California veterinary licence.
- Advanced knowledge of intensive care medicine, emergency stabilisation and the management of critically ill small animal patients.
- Strong clinical judgement and confidence in establishing effective intensive care protocols and treatment strategies.
- Excellent communication abilities with enthusiasm for multidisciplinary collaboration and developing specialist critical care services.
