Job Description: Our client is seeking a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Veterinary Cardiologist to join an established specialty and emergency setting delivering advanced care to complex referral patients. The role provides access to an impressive range of diagnostic resources, including ultrasound, MRI, CT, fluoroscopy and comprehensive in-house laboratory capabilities.

Working closely with an existing cardiologist and specialists across surgery, internal medicine, neurology and dermatology, the successful candidate will have excellent opportunities for collaborative case management and the development of strong referral relationships. A leadership pathway is also available for an experienced specialist interested in contributing beyond their clinical caseload.

This position would suit a cardiologist who combines advanced clinical expertise with excellent communication skills and enjoys working within a multidisciplinary specialty environment.

Qualifications Needed:

  • DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary institution
  • Completion of a one-year rotating internship encompassing small animal medicine, surgery and emergency care
  • Successful completion of a three-year AVMA-approved residency program
  • Current state veterinary license with appropriate DEA registration maintained
  • Board certification preferred, with post-residency cardiology experience considered advantageous

Package:

  • Signing and retention incentives of up to $100,000 available for eligible candidates
  • Leadership opportunities for specialists interested in additional professional responsibility
  • Comprehensive access to MRI, CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and in-house diagnostics
  • Close collaboration with an existing cardiologist and multiple specialist disciplines
  • Paid parental leave covering birth, adoption and foster placement
  • Continuing education funding supporting ongoing specialist development
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance options
  • 401(k) plan with discretionary employer contribution
  • Team member discounts on eligible veterinary services
  • Opportunities to develop established referral relationships while advancing specialist expertise
