Job Details: Our client in Nottinghamshire have an opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon with an interest in surgery or dentistry to join their team.
Key accountabilities
– Ensure all team members provide quality and ethical care to all clients and their pets/livestock.
– Assess and examine and diagnose patients medical issues
– Perform surgery, dress and treat wounds.
– Perform diagnostic laboratory, imaging and ultrasound testing where required.
– Prescribe medication.
– Promote preventative care by advocating and administering routine vaccinations and immunisations.
– Educate clients on positive lifestyle choices for pets/livestock.
– Euthanise patients.
– Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
– Maintain patients medical records.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 39 hours a week over four days with 1:3 half or 1:6 full weekends.
Skills and experience
– Registered with the RCVS.
– Qualified MRCVS.
– Commitment to animal welfare.
– Ability to keep on top of practice protocols and procedures.
– Excellent organisational skills.
The branch is well equipped and development of the successful applicant in the dentistry and/or surgical field would be actively encouraged. You will be working alongside experienced Vets who are interested in teaching colleagues, including a surgery certificate holder who has a special interest in the pet dentistry field.
