Our client is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.
## Veterinary Surgeon
London Road Veterinary Centre, King’s Lynn
Up to £63,000 DOE plus £5,000 Relocation Allowance
Here at London Road Veterinary Centre they have a fantastic opportunity for a
veterinary surgeon to join their well-established & enthusiastic team. The
position is mainly based in King’s Lynn, at their main practice, London Road
Veterinary Centre, with one day per week consulting only at their branch
surgery, The Hollies, based in Downham Market. The Clinical Director and
Practice Manager operate an ‘open door’ policy, ensuring you receive all the
support you need during your employment with us. You will also receive the
needed support from their 6 Vet team, and their well-established nurse and
reception teams. You will have access to a varied caseload with both surgical
and medical cases.
### Fix or flex – work life balance that works for you
The vets usually work 4 days a week Monday to Friday between the hours of
8.30am – 7.30pm. There are no out of hours requirements for this role and you
will be a part of a fair weekend rota of 1 in 4 weekends. They are happy to
accept both full & part time applicants for this role. They know that everyone
has demands and priorities outside of work and they want to make it easy for
you to strike the right work/life balance. Whether you need to do the school
pick up, or would simply like a more flexible rota pattern they can
accommodate their needs to suit you.
### About Us
They are a two-site small animal practice, with their Downham Market branch
surgery being a consultation-only practice. The practice has been established
since the 1930’s and has evolved over the years with the changing pace of
veterinary medicine to offer a modern service with a well-established
reputation. They are located in a busy market town close to the beautiful
North Norfolk coastline. They are an hour’s drive from Norwich and London is
90 minutes away by train. The team of 6 Veterinary Surgeons works closely
alongside their well-established nursing team that consists of 5 Registered
Veterinary Nurses, 1 Qualified Veterinary Nurse, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses
which are supported by their team of 5 Patient Care Assistants.
### The Team and Culture
They have a very good mix of experience in their clinical team. The team
currently consists of one Advanced Practitioner in small animal cardiology,
one vet currently studying towards a postgraduate certificate in dentistry and
oral surgery, working alongside 4 other vets. They are actively encouraging
and supporting their clinical teams to further their knowledge and channel
their passion towards a chosen topic and they are happy to fully fund any
post-graduate studies for the right candidate. They see a varied caseload and
their vets have complete clinical freedom and are well supported by their
proactive and experienced nursing and reception teams. They hold daily ward
rounds, monthly clinical meetings alternating with clinical governance
meetings and regular journal clubs. They have a wide range of diagnostic and
surgical equipment. They are a silver ISFM accredited practice with a strong
emphasis on patient care and a Fear Free approach for all their patients. They
also have a longstanding history of providing treatments and care for RAF
Marham’s Military Working Dogs in which they take great pride.
