Small Animal Vet Surgeon Job, Lincolnshire, England

Small Animal Vet Surgeon Job, Lincolnshire, England

Job Details: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time or part time Veterinary Surgeon to join our clients friendly and supportive team at their clinic based in Lincolnshire.

They are a first opinion general practice, primarily small animal but they do have an exotics department with potential development in this area. Some duties can include but are not limited to, consulting,  operating, in-patient care and general case management where continuity is actively encouraged.

This role is open to both full and part time applications with their full time rota being 40 hours per week across 4 days week between Monday and Saturday with 1 night a week on call for hospitalised inpatients (inpatients are cared for by night staff and call outs are rare). A third party company sees all the overnight emergencies and cover Saturday night, Sundays and Bank Holidays. They take a flexible approach to rota patterns and they are open to discussions around this on both a full time and part time basis.

They know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and they want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you are looking to fix or flex your work patterns, they can find the right solution for you. If you need to do the school pick up, need reduced hours during school holidays or would simply like a more flexible rota pattern they can fix or flex their patterns to suit you.

They are a fully equipped general practice with spacious premises. They have separate cat and dog wards plus a separate exotic hospital. They carry out ophthalmic surgery in house and they also have a visiting orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeon.

Their Day Manager organises the logistics of the day allowing vets to be vets and focus on their patients, creating a smoother flow to the day. 20 minute consultations are standard and double appointments for more complicated cases also contribute to a manageable workload.

They have 8 Veterinary Surgeons, 7 RVN, 6 SVN, 4 VCA, 7 support, ECC and Ophthalmology certificate holders and 2 recent graduates. They have an excellent level of experience to support all stages of your career and are also a nurse training practice so teaching and learning are embedded in their culture. The team are welcoming, supportive of one another and genuinely pull together. They work hard but are social too – their parties are fantastic!

They would be happy to consider both experienced and inexperienced applicants. Experience isn’t necessary as they are happy to provide support to less experienced members of the team. They are also keen to encourage further qualifications and certificates for those that want to develop. They are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, with a positive attitude, a team player who enjoys working with others to provide the excellent level of care we are proud of.
