Job Details: Our clients are looking for a full/part-time vet surgeon to join their team. Working across multiple sites in the Highlands of Scotland, the caseloads are busy and varied within 1st opinion general practice ranging from dentistry, consults and medicine cases to name a few. They encourage a learning culture within their practice and fully support their vets to develop their own caseloads within their niche area.
Working 40 hours per week split across 4/5 days Three nights on call per month 1:12 weekend on call, with time off in lieu to give you a good work-life balance
They are an an established practice based in the capital of the Highlands. They are a busy companion animal practice, comprising of three practices, and growing. They have state of the art equipment including ultrasound with doppler, continuous ECG monitoring, cardiac probe and DR x-ray.
In addition to their first opinion service, they have a Referral Practice within the group, currently covering Orthopaedic, Soft Tissue, Dermatology and Pain Management. They are a training practice and believe in supporting the future clinical staff, regularly taking EMS and RVN students. Currently their team consists of 14 Vets, 12 Nurses, 14 support staff, they have two Certificate holders in Medicine and three vets working towards their Medicine, Soft Tissue and Dental Certificates.
There is an amazing number of outdoor activities in the Highlands, skiing, snowboarding, hill walking, mountain biking, rock climbing, wild swimming to name but a few.
Must be RCVS registered and qualified, ideally with experience working in a 1st opinion setting, must be confident in sole charge work. Further certification is encouraged and supported. This is a busy and growing practice and offers an amazing opportunity to develop your skillset.
