Job Details: Our client has an opportunity for an enthusiastic veterinary surgeon to join their team on a permanent basis. Their full-time vets generally choose to work a 4-day week (10-hour days on shifts between 8am and 7pm) with some Saturday mornings and weekend work. There is no standard OOH or telephone duties for this role although occasional requirement to care for low dependency boarders on a Sunday (not on Bank Holidays). They are also happy to accommodate part time applicants for this role who are looking to work 2 or 3 days per week.
They are all about ensuring their staff get the perfect work life balance that suits their lifestyle which is why they allow their Vets, where possible, to choose their day off allowing 4d weekends to be taken without using any holiday up! Their weekend rota is completed 6-12 months ahead and daily rotas are available 5 weeks in advance, so their staff can plan their time off.
They are an established, friendly, and supportive practice in Hertfordshire. They are a very experienced team including several certificate holders, full RVN team and support staff with a strong team ethos. Equipment/service includes laparoscopy, digital radiography, echocardiology and comprehensive in-house lab. The practice has an active program of Quality Improvement driven by in-house analysis of working practices. They are a busy practice with a high and varied caseload, which would suit someone who is keen to undertake further development.
