Job Details: We are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our clients team. The duties will include carrying out consultations, operations, inpatients,  and work-ups as expected for the level of experience. Ideally the candidate should be able to cope with most consults/routine operation without assistance. This role would ideally suit someone who wishes to progress their basic skill set. They would happily support anyone wishing to pursue certification in a chosen field. 

The rota will involve working 40 hours per week over 4 days. The days are a mix of shifts including:  8:00am-3.30pm or 9:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-7.30pm

The weekend work includes working on a Saturday morning from 8:30am-11:30am and Sunday from 10:00am-11:00am and is worked in a 1 in 6-7 rota.
There is a second on-call component is rota’d to give advice and support to the night Vets and occasionally you might need to come and help them.

Well equipped with usual toys (digital xrays, video endoscope, ultrasound) they can cater for most patient’s needs. They pride themselves on giving honest advice to clients and NEVER work in a target driven way.

They are a team of 11 vets (1 diploma holder, 1 cert holder, 4 others sitting certs), 9 RVNs (most have exotic qualifications), 3 student nurses)1 PM, 6 aux nurses, 5 receptionists, 2 admin assistants.

The successful applicant must be a hard worker, want to learn and be a team player, but most importantly have a good sense of humour!
