Their friendly, close-knit team is made up of 4 part time vets, 2 RVNs, 2 VCAs, and experienced support team led by their practice manager who is also a Mental Health First Aider. Their experienced nursing team work closely with the vets to make sure the day runs as efficiently as possible, and they are continuing to build the responsibilities of their nursing team. They would therefore love to find a team member happy to help with coaching and training.
The ethos at their practice is one where they work hard and look out for one another with the team’s well-being a priority. They hold monthly 1 to 1s with all their staff and look to provide further support where needed on an individual basis. They enjoy team socials every 3-4 months, making time to socialise with each other out of work and, given there is a local pizzeria close to the practice, host pizza lunches in practice as well.
Their bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including orthopaedic surgical kit and they are one of the few practices in the area to have the Companion Litecure CTX-IQ laser which can be used in treating pain/trauma, stomatitis, urinary tract disorders & post-op recovery to name just a few.
This role is full time (35 hours), but they are open to discuss part time hours as long as you can help them out with their 1 in 3 weekend rota. You will be given time off in lieu for working a weekend and they welcome anyone looking for a consult only role. They are open for consults 7 days a week and their surgery days are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Time is allocated in the daily diary for admin where needed and no OOH is required. Ideally you will be confident with sole charge but most important to them is finding someone who is the right fit for their team.
