Small Animal Vet Surgeon Job, Derbyshire, England

Small Animal Vet Surgeon Job, Derbyshire, England

Job Details: We have the role just for you. Our clients Clinic director is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their practice based in Derbyshire. They are looking for someone with experience and a passion for surgery to work alongside and support their current team. They are very lucky to have ample space with 2 theatres alongside a dedicated imaging suit and dental room and 2 prep areas. Full or Part time will be considered.

They value people above all else and it shows. The aim is to be the place of choice for veterinary professionals by leading the way with their approach to managing clinics and teams. There is a huge emphasis on wellbeing and balance which is why their approach to working hours and rotas is open and flexible.

The wellbeing of their teams is important to them. They make time each month for teams to spend time with one another in clinic-driven wellbeing sessions, such as spa pamper sessions, biscuit decorating and pumpkin carving. They actively encourage feedback from their teams, the kind where they celebrate personal wins and reward their people. Your colleague may have had a really tough week so they may suggest a wellbeing day, another may have gone above and beyond, so they send them a treat. Every team member also has 5 nominations per month to give recognition to colleagues. These add up over the year and rewards are given accordingly. It is all about the people for them, they are there for you.

They welcome you to come and spend the day alongside them. Coffee and cake are standard and they are confident that you will love the atmosphere and passion that they proudly display. In addition, they have a number of testimonials from past team members and locums who have worked with them to give you another perspective.

Our clients practice is an amazing place to work, with a lovely supportive friendly team who look out for each other. The whole team are encouraged to bring ideas forward on how they can improve, whether that’s clinically, the services they offer, lunch, and learn requests, or how to get the most out of their wellness sessions. The diary is sensibly managed meaning they leave on time with consults finishing half an hour before end of shift, and there is time factored into the day for case work ups and phone calls. They have daily time for ‘vet rounds’ to discuss any complicated cases or new tips people have picked up at CPD, alongside regular practice and clinical meetings. They all love what they do, and their team is engaged, driven and proud to work beside one another. Generally their people don’t leave because they don’t like the job, in fact they are currently recruiting as one of their vets is emigrating.

The experienced team of vet surgeons are supported by an amazing team of dedicated nurses, all with their individual passions including orthopaedics, dermatology, a cat friendly advocate and nurse clinics including weight, senior, and diabetes. They also have a great team of client care co-ordinators who look after their client experience from arriving to leaving the clinic to make sure their visit is friendly, welcoming and efficient.

They look forward to welcoming an enthusiastic RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon to their team. They are looking for a team player who supports and believes in a culture of quality care to the highest standard for their visiting pets and clients.
