They are a busy first opinion practice and they see a very varied caseload. They have two branches based in Wales and both have full surgical and diagnostic facilities including in-house laboratory equipment, ultrasound, digital x-rays including dental x-rays and anaesthetic monitoring equipment such as pulse oximeters and capnographs. They also have a therapeutic laser.
They have a wonderful team of 8.5 FTE vets and 2 recent graduate vets as well as an experienced nursing team of 11 FTE nurses plus 3 student nurses, 4 nursing assistants and reception team.
They actively encourage further learning and CPD and they have certificate holders in medicine, feline medicine (they are ISFM silver practice in both branches), surgery, osteoarthritis, pain management, diagnostic imaging, and two vets who are currently studying for certificates in advanced soft tissue surgery and cardiology.
The average length of service in their veterinary team is 6.5 years and 8 years in their nursing team.
They work a 4-day week and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings. There is no out of hours work as this is provided by a neighbouring hospital.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a team, will be professional and keen to develop their skills.
