Job Details: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our clients friendly team based in Aberdeenshire with other branches located throughout the area.

Day-to-day duties include consulting and operating on rota. They have a varied and interesting case load, also protected administration time to allow thinking time and research for cases. The client base are keen for diagnostics
and workups, and due to the equipment and surgeon knowledge, they are able to keep the cases on-site which helps with job satisfaction.

40 hours per week over four days on a rolling rota. There is sole charge branch consulting 1-2 days per week, an operating day once per week and the other days consulting at their main practice. A third party company cover the
out of hours after 7pm on weekdays and 6pm at weekends. There is some inpatient weekend cover and on-call between 1pm-6pm Saturday and Sunday 8.30am-6pm. (1 ½ weekends in 6)

They are a small animal practice with excellent back-of-house facilities offering a high standard of care to their patients. The facilities include an endoscope, digital x-ray, a new ultrasound machine, IV infusion pumps, syringe
driver, patient warmers, and a fully equipped lab with a variety of in-house testing. There is a separate dental suite with a dental X-ray and two sterile theatre rooms with multiparameter machines and piped gasses. The patient
accommodation consists of a separate dog and cat wards, ICU and isolation wards. The unique selling point is the high standard of care and facilities they offer to their clients.

In the clinical team, they have 8 Veterinary Surgeons (counting as 7.25 full time equivalents), 6 Nurses, 2 Student nurses, and 5 VCAs. They also have the reception team covering the front of house at all times. They have three vets
doing certificates specialising in Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Soft tissue and ECC. The ideal candidate would be keen to further develop their skills and be able to work independently at branches, and will be supported in any
interest they have. They are involved with local schools and help support charitable organisations.

The ideal candidate will be keen to further their skills, follow their own interests and assist the team in developing theirs. They are proud to be able to support vets through any stage of their career and provides additional mentoring or coaching as needed. A full clean driving license is essential.
