Small Animal Senior Vet Nurse Job, Tyne and Wear, England

Small Animal Senior Vet Nurse Job, Tyne and Wear, England

Job Details: We have an unmissable opportunity for a veterinary surgeon to join our clients friendly and welcoming team based in Tyne and Wear!

You will be joining a friendly and supportive team of thirteen people who are looking forward to welcoming you into their family. They are a team where your opinions matter, your feelings are respected, and your work life balance and wellbeing are a priority.

The wellbeing of all their colleagues is hugely important, and management are always actively looking for ways to improve and support the health and wellness of the team. They encourage colleagues to take regular breaks whenever they need them and to feel like they can speak openly if something is not working well or if they are not feeling their best. The diary is well planned with this in mind, and the workload carefully managed and tailored to the needs of the individuals working that day.

Their caseloads are varied, and your role will be a balance of clinics and surgery, giving you the chance to utilise your personal areas of special interest. CPD is fully supported, and they encourage their nursing team to work to their full remit including carrying out schedule 3 procedures pursuing further development wherever possible.

Their spacious practice is well equipped with on-site theatre, digital xray, ultrasound machine, dental xray, in-house laboratory, pharmacy, separate dog and cat wards, four consult rooms and a large, dedicated colleague room.

They are looking for a Senior RVN who as well as having good all-round nursing skills, can provide excellent levels of patient and client care and is willing to take full ownership of tasks and duties.  You will work closely with senior members of the practice demonstrating leadership and management qualities.  Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of clinical coaching but this is not necessary as training can be provided.

This can be a full or part-time role. They understand the importance of work-life balance and general wellbeing and are completely open to discussions, particularly around flexibility with working patterns, as they want to ensure everyone has a great balance between practice and home life.

Their opening hours are Monday-Friday 8.30-7 and Saturday 9-12. Saturday work will be required on a rota basis but there is no on-call, no out of hours and no Sundays, and they close most bank holidays which means you’ll never have to work Christmas Day!

If you share our clients passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare, great customer service and would like to join their team we would love to hear from you!
