Job Details: We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our clients friendly and supportive team.
A day in the life of a branch nurse, other than the consuming of cakes and ice creams, which of course is compulsory, would-be nurse clinics, one day a week ops, assisting the vet, general running of the branch, ordering and training a VCA. From this they keep your day varied and allow for as much clinical exposure as possible.
This role is to cover maternity leave therefore it will be a fixed-term contract for up to 1 year. This is a Full Time or Part Time position meaning they can be flexible on working days/times. No weekends or OOH.
They have a number of facilities including an operating theatre, cat and dog wards, a nurse and vet consult room and a large waiting room which is large enough to have a cat and dog waiting area.
The branch you would be working in is a small family made up of one Veterinary Surgeon, one Veterinary Nurse, one Receptionist and one VCA. Their clients are lovely. At this branch you will fit right in, everyone is so welcoming and accepting of new experience.
Overall, they have 6 Veterinary Surgeons who rotate across all three branches, 5 RVNs (still expanding), 3 SVNs and 3 VCAs, all working together to achieve an excellent standard of care. They have a nurturing culture, with a high emphasis for learning and development. They have three vets working towards a certificate, one in dentistry, one in cardiology and one in imaging and they are always sharing their knowledge and discuss cases with the nursing team. They encourage their nurses to pursue their passions in whatever form. They look after the residents of a local Cats Protection Adoption Centre, meaning there is not a week that goes by without a kitten cuddle.
They are looking for a RVN, training can be given if not worked alone at a branch.
