Job Details: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our clients team at their practice based in Greater Manchester.

They are a busy practice with a varied caseload. Their nurses are encouraged to use their nursing skills to the full, and you will have the opportunity to work across all areas of the practice. Nurses have regular opportunities to be involved with orthopaedic surgery, anaesthesia, non-surgical procedures, nurse consultations and client education. Main responsibilities include in-patient care of surgical and medical cases, anaesthesia and nurse consultations.

As a full-time member of the team, you will work 37.5 hours, over 5 days. You will also be required to participate in the weekend rota. TOIL is given for any weekend hours worked. There is no out of hours required.

Their practice is a large, spacious practice over two floors with top facilities and equipment. Their practice is fully equipped with an operating theatre, digital x-ray, full in house IDEXX lab, ultrasound and BP monitor. They have 3 consulting rooms and separate cat and dog wards. Their team have a diverse range of skills and interests and are all very supportive and eager to help each other out.  

The nursing team run regular weight clinics, cuddle clinics and senior clinics. They are passionate about helping their community and work with their local school children on responsible pet ownership as well as a local charity.

One of the best parts of working at our clients practice is the enthusiastic team who work closely together. They love to bond over their shared love of food with regular meals out together, along with regularly partaking in some serious competition with the local pub quiz and “Breakout” rooms. There are also some very active members of the team, who join forces in training for 10k’s and their weekly Fitbit challenge.

They are looking for a highly motivated veterinary nurse who can thrive in their high-quality practice. You will relate to their core principles of quality, integrity, responsibility and growth, fitting seamlessly alongside their friendly practice teams as you work with team to provide a quality experience for pet owner and pets alike.
