Small Animal Registered Vet Nurse Job, Essex, England

Small Animal Registered Vet Nurse Job, Essex, England

Job Details: An exciting opportunity has arisen in our clients small animal practice based in Essex for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking registered veterinary nurse to join their professional and friendly team.

They are a veterinary nursing training practice and have their RCVS practice standards accreditation. Their spacious surgery based in Essex is purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital x-ray, dental x-ray and high spec ultrasound. They have 3 consultation rooms, dedicated operating theatre, lab area, prep room and separate dog, cat and isolation wards.

The current team consists of 4 Vets, 5 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 2 VCAs, 3 receptionists and a practice manager and admin team. They are hugely supportive of each other and take pride in the strong relationships they have built, and continue to build, with their large and loyal client base.  The nursing team are encouraged to work closely with the vets but also alongside each other and the rest of the team, to utilise their skills to the full potential within the RVN qualification to achieve maximum job satisfaction. Their JVP is keen to offer support to all of the team and encourage any specific areas of interest.

They are ideally looking for a veterinary nurse with some previous experience and who will be confident in all areas of general nursing. Their practice also has a higher than average level of small furry exotic patients so there are plenty of opportunities to gain experience in this area.

The full time rota consists of an average of 40 hours per week. Weekday shifts vary between 8.30am and 7.30pm and you will be required to work 1 full weekend every 5 weeks. Lieu days will be provided for each weekend worked and there are no out of hours duties or on call, allowing you to enjoy an excellent work/life balance.

This is a full time or part time role. They are happy to be flexible with hours and shift patterns for candidates looking for part time work, but engagement in the weekend rota will be required.

If you share our clients passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare and great customer service then we would love to hear from you!

Package:

  • Generous CPD allowance
  • Standard annual leave allowance of 28 days including bank holidays rising to 33 days including bank holidays after 2 full years of service (pro rata)
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Paid RCVS membership
  • Supportive and friendly work environment
  • Exclusive company discounts and rewards
