Job Details: This Practice are looking for a full time, dedicated and enthusiastic, registered veterinary nurse to join their team. Working across three practices within Inverness, you will join a well-established team working in rotation providing nurse consultations, theatre nursing and inpatient care.

They have three sites within Inverness so you will get to enjoy the hustle and bustle of a busy surgical site and the peacefulness of a consulting only surgery. No two days are the same giving you a varied workload and a good mix of cases.

You will be supported by a dedicated dispensary assistant so your time can be utilised doing what you do best; nursing.

Rota

Working up to 40 hours per week across 5days, the shifts are worked in rotation with the rest of the team. The opening hours are: 8am to 8pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 6pm Friday and 8am to 4pm on a Saturday.

The weeknight OOH cover is shared between the team on a rota basis with a maximum of 1 evening per week.

The weekend OOH cover is shared with a neighbouring practice which means some weekends are on call and others are simply inpatient care.

The current OOH weekend rota is 1:10, with an inpatient weekend cover in between. Out of hours work is compensated with time off in lieu. In addition, you are paid overtime for every hour worked.

**Part time hours would be considered for the right candidate.

Applicant Requirements

You must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse who wants the best for your patients and thrives in a busy practice. You will have excellent communication skills, follow instruction well and support your co-workers. If you are newly qualified, they can help you grow in your nursing career and build your confidence. If you have a few more years’ experience and have the desire to learn more, they will support you too.
