Small Animal Associate Veterinarian Job, Massachusetts, USA

Job Details: They are a busy, progressive, and well-equipped hospital that provides high-quality medical and surgical care to companion animals. As an Associate Veterinarian, you will work alongside experienced veterinarians and a dedicated staff who are committed to delivering exceptional veterinary care and client service.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and obtain a thorough medical history from clients for each patient
  • Develop appropriate treatment plans based on exam findings and diagnostic results
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as radiographs, ultrasounds, and blood work
  • Interpret diagnostic test results to accurately diagnose and treat medical conditions
  • Administer anesthesia and perform surgical procedures as necessary
  • Communicate effectively with clients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and outcomes
  • Document medical records accurately and timely
  • Provide excellent customer service and promote client education to ensure the well-being of patients
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain a strong knowledge base of current veterinary medical practices and procedures

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid veterinary license in Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Strong medical, surgical, and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays
  • New graduates are welcome to apply

Schedule:

  • Full-time

  • They’re open Monday through Saturday.

  • Schedule includes 4 days/week (Mon-Fri) with a Saturday rotation between all of the Associates
