Job Details: Our client is seeking a passionate veterinarian to join their experienced and long-tenured team in a small animal practice located in Peoria, Illinois. 

The hospital is a beautiful, fully equipped facility with up-to-date diagnostic equipment such as blood chemistry, radiology, and ECG. They have an onsite lab, cancer clinic, ultrasound technology, and a willingness to accept most surgeries, providing great learning opportunities or the ability to refine the veterinarian’s current skill set.

The hospital prides itself on providing excellent service and superb patient care to maintain the highest quality of life for their patients. The staff is highly trained to assist the doctor in whatever circumstance may arise, and the hospital offers nearly any service a pet owner could ask for.

The veterinarian will be responsible for providing an elevated level of veterinary care utilizing the latest advances in diagnostics, prioritizing traumatic injuries and serious illnesses to ensure all animals receive time-sensitive care, educating clients on the importance of vaccinations, heartworm treatments, flea and tick treatments, and other preventive care. Additionally, the candidate should have a client service mindset with the ability to build and retain a strong client base, enthusiasm about giving back to and building relationships with the local community, the ability to champion the practice’s objectives and values, inspire others, efficiently handle caseloads, maintain accurate records using SOAP templates for treatment plans and recommendations, promote a collaborative working environment, and encourage the value of teamwork.

Requirements for this position are you must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and have a State Veterinary Board License in good standing.
