Job Description: Are you ready for your next challenge in one of the world’s most exciting, diverse and fun loving cities in the world?

Position: Veterinary surgeon (Acupuncture/Traditional Chinese Medicine and Physio/Rehabilitation Therapy)

Leading animal welfare organisations with seven income generating private clinics, a welfare spay-neuter clinic and two mobile vehicles.

Enjoy an excellent work-life balance; generous annual leave, a 5-day week, a 6pm finish, and very limited work on Sundays and Public Holidays (emergency cover and welfare only). Allowing for plenty of time off to relax and recharge, and to enjoy and pursue the finer things in life!

Due to future expansion plans they are seeking a highly motivated, team orientated, fun-loving individual to join their large, enthusiastic and diverse team in a busy multi-centre practice, where professional development and specialisation is encouraged and supported through mentorship, CPD leave, and both internal and external training. Facilities include a brand new 24-hour hospital, in-house diagnostic laboratory, digital and dental radiography, ultrasonography, ECG, endoscopy and modern surgical suites. In late 2022 a new state of the art hospital is due to open in the New Territories which will include in-house CT and MRI facilities alongside all our current capacities.

The successful candidate would be based at their Hong Kong hospital overseeing the running of our surgery floor. Surgical caseloads are extremely high with a large variety of interesting procedures and injuries. The job is perfect for a confident and skilled surgeon wishing to further hone their skills.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of practical experience in the small animal veterinary field.
  • Post-graduate training, qualification and experience in the fields of Acupuncture, TCM and/or Physiotherapy/Rehabilitation would be an advantage, although those currently training in these fields are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work as a team.
  • A keen interest in the development and mentorship of colleagues.
  • Genuine interest in the welfare of animals.

Package: This vacancy has an attractive remuneration package including: salary to scale, CPD leave, low taxation rates (max. 17%), accommodation, health insurance, professional indemnity insurance, provident fund contributions, assistance with practicing certificates and a generous leave allowance to relax and recharge!
