Salary: £35,000 – £55,000+ DOE

Type of Work: Small Animal Vet Surgeon
Job Details: Our client is looking for a veterinary surgeon to join their team. You will be joining their well-established team of 3 vets, the role is hugely varied and will include consults and operating daily, caring for their very loyal and friendly client base.
You will be required to work 40 hours per week across 4 days, with 1:5 Saturday day times. No bank holiday or out of hours work as they are covered by VetsNow.
They have two very well-established surgeries, both of which have a loyal client base of well over 20 years. Both practices are equipped with digital radiography, ultrasounds and in-house blood testing equipment. They also have good-sized theatres and consult rooms for their varied first opinion cases. One of the branches has very recently been refurbished to a high spec finish.
The friendly team comprises of 4 experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Nursing Assistants and a full team of Receptionists. None of them could do their jobs properly without each other! They are a very encouraging team who are always willing to step in and work together in times of need and they work hard to provide the highest standards in client and animal care. The Veterinary Surgeons will always talk through all options of care with their clients to ensure they are making the most informed choices, and they work closely with various referral practices to be able to offer that option if required.
They are looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon who is comfortable with sole charge on occasion but also confident in all first opinion duties. They have experienced vets within the team that can help develop your skills.
You should have good communication skills and be able to listen to both your team and your clients. Animal care should be at the forefront of your mind.
