Salary: £35,000 – £55,000+ DOE

Type of Work: Small Animal Vet Surgeon
Job Details: Our client is looking for a veterinary surgeon to join their team. This is a full-time role working 40 hours a week over 4 days, 9am to 7pm with 1 in 2 Saturday consult weekends, 1 night a week on call and 1 in 7 long on call weekends – Friday evening to Monday morning. When on call you will only be called in as and when required.
Your typical week would include mornings and afternoons made up of consultations. After consultations, the rest of your day will be spent liaising with the inpatients and the owners regarding further work ups required or you will be on theatre duties and will complete the ops booked in for that day. The high standard equipment includes the latest in Digital Radiography technology, High-speed Colour Doppler Ultrasound scanners, Digital endoscopy, High-powered Dental Scalers and Polishers, ECG & Anaesthetic monitoring equipment.
They are a team of 8 experienced Veterinary Surgeons, 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 4 Student Veterinary Nurses and 11 Receptionists. The team of experienced and very capable Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Nurses aim to provide the highest quality of care for their client’s pets. CPD is highly encouraged, for example, one of their vets in doing a laparoscopic course with the RVC shortly and once of their RVN is doing a certificate in nursing.
