Small Animal Associate Vet Surgeon Job, Hampshire, England

Salary: 35,000 – 55,000+ DOE

Job Details:Our client is looking for a veterinary surgeon to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out consultations and surgery working collaborativelywith a strong team of experienced vets and nurses to give the highest levels of patient care. There is no sole charge for their team to ensure everyone feels supported at all times.

The full-time rota will include working on average 4.5 days per week with a share in the Saturday mornings which are fully staffed by 2 vets, 2 nurses and receptionists, and a day off is given when working Saturdays. There are no out of hours or sole charge with this role. They will also welcome applications from part time candidates.
The practice is well equipped with digital x-rays, dental x-ray, brand new Esaote MyLabX7 ultrasound, K-Laser and in house IDEXX lab. They are currently planning their move to a new purpose-built building which will be equipped with a CT scanner and multiple theatres. The practice is located in a small town in Hampshire with excellent road and rail links. They are situated within 5 minutes drive of the M3, J5, and 3-minute walk from Hook station, which is on the mainline to London Waterloo/ Southampton Central. They have a very loyal client base, with over 70% on their pet health club.
The team consists of 8 Veterinary Surgeons, 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, 2 Animal Care Assistants, and 4 Receptionists. They actively encourage their team to further their skill set. If you want to do a certificate, they will support and fund your aspirations. They also have certificate holders in companion animal behaviour and cardiology, and have visiting orthopaedic and soft tissue specialists.
