Salary: £35,000 – £55,000+ DOE

Type of Work: Small Animal Vet Surgeon
Job Details: Our client is looking for a veterinary surgeon to join their team. Your day will consist of carrying out consultations, operations, and some sole charge. They offer a friendly supportive team environment, with medical and clinical freedom, decent varied caseload and encouragement to pursue additional certificates.
They run small animal consults from 9am-11am and from 4pm-6pm, they always aim to close at 6.30pm. There are usually 3-4 operations/procedures for each Veterinary Surgeon to perform between times. They would require 1 Saturday in 4 covered 9am-1.30pm in addition to some out of hour duties which they share with another 3 practices in the area
They are located on the beautiful North Antrim Coast near the Giants Causeway, Bushmills Distillery and the Dark Hedges. They have 2 branches with Digital Xray Haematology and Biochemistry machines and ultrasound machine and Laboratory work up facilities. They have a great team of staff who all help each other.
They have 8 Veterinary Surgeon, 5 Mixed Veterinary Surgeons on rota and 3 Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon. They have 1 Veterinary Nurse and 2 Student Veterinary Nurses plus 7 support members of staff and a Practice Manager. They are the primary vets for 2 local Charity associations in their area, Cats Protection and Bark
The successful applicant must be RCVS registered and have previous experience of working as a small animal vet surgeon. Although ideally looking for an experienced Vet they will consider post qualified applicants also. Support is always provided along with encouragement to progress and pursue additional areas of interest with further certification being fully supported and funded.
