Registered Vet Nurse Job, Buckinghamshire, England

Registered Vet Nurse Job, Buckinghamshire, England

Job Details: We are looking for a qualified Veterinary Nurse to join our clients growing, but well established, practice. They are looking for someone who is happy to be involved in all aspects of nursing – from consults to theatre to medical nursing – as well as doing shifts at their other two smaller branches.

They have a wonderful team and very much encourage their nurses to take responsibility for areas they are interested in, working closely with the whole team to improve their patient care and services offered to their clients. They love to learn from others, with plenty of support for those interested in further learning. They also love to train students, so previous experience as a clinical coach, or a willingness to become one, would be advantageous.

Their flexible approach to rota patterns can truly enrich your work life balance. They know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and they want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you need to do the school pick up, need reduced hours during school holidays or would simply like a more flexible rota pattern they can fix or flex their patterns to suit you.

They currently offer a 1 in 8 Saturday morning rota. They have the added bonus of having a third party company to cover there out of hours service, and they do not have to transfer their patients to another practice for overnight or weekend care.

At their main branch they have excellent facilities with x-ray, dental x-ray, endoscopy, ultrasound, and a well-equipped laboratory. They have separate cat, dog, and exotic kennels, as well as separate isolation kennels. They also have a fenced in garden for patient exercise.

They have 10 Veterinary surgeons, 11 Veterinary Nurses (including students) and 3 Patient Care Assistants. They have two vets with small animal medicine certificates, and a vet working towards her small animal surgery certificate. They also have a nurse with a certificate in feline behaviour, a nurse working on her surgical nursing certificate and one of their care assistants is working on a canine behaviour training course.

They would love to expand their nursing team with someone that has a love for nursing! They are excited about training and improving practice standards and want to ensure they give the best care possible to their patients.

They are looking for 2 Registered Veterinary Nurses, whether just recently qualified or someone with a lot of experience. They are happy to train and enable study to improve skills and experience, as well as to learn from you if you already come with a wealth of knowledge.
They are looking for someone that is happy working in both larger and smaller teams, who can be flexible and is keen to learn and develop with them as they grow their practice.
Experience with clinical coaching is desirable, but not essential.
