‘Beef Suckler Management – Bull Fertility and infectious diseases?’
Keith Cutler BSc BVSc DipECBHM MRCVS
“I qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon from Bristol University in 1990 and entered farm animal practice in the central south of England, where I remained for thirty years, rising to the position of senior partner. In January of this year I moved further west and joined Synergy Farm Health as a senior assistant. My day-to-day work covers all aspects of proactive and emergency farm animal medicine, surgery and herd health planning. My current particular interests include single-agent infectious disease diagnostics, management and control and suckler herd management and productivity (and non-human primate health!).
I became a diplomat of the European College of Bovine Health Management in 2006, which has been re-ratified in 2011 and 2016. I was voted the Farmers Weekly Livestock Advisor of the Year in 2007. I served as BCVA president in 2009/10. I was appointed as chair of the CHeCS (Cattle Health Certification Standards) Technical group in 2013 and I am a member of the BVDFree England and Action Johne’s Technical Groups. I have spoken on a variety of cattle-related topics at meetings both at home and abroad, am widely published in the Veterinary and Farming press and have authored an Atlas of Bovine Pathology.”
